I was pregnant for nine months, and all my friends wanted to get me maternity gifts. Now I have a bouncing baby girl and I'm having a baby shower. again i think its a disgrace that only 2 divas out of the whole diva roster were on summerslam.i know maria was there but she was only doing interviews.

it makes me so mad that in my opinion the divas are being used and basically maybe wwe head people do not think that the divas are basically good enough for ppv's

So, I signed up for this really cool site called couchsurfing.com which is a tool travelers use to share their lives with hosts who are interested in sharing their world from all kinds of places in this world. Garret, the youngest son of one of my best friends, Robin Morgan, suggested I check out the page last year, and when I did, I was really impressed with the mission of the couch surfing project.  The goal? Simple: To create a better world, one couch at a time.   Awesome!  I wanted to be a part of it, just like I knew WeEarth was an awesome idea and I wanted to be a part of it.  

When I signed up for the site, I thought of it as being a cool way to share Loma Partida with others - I love it there so very much, and it offers a sense of tranquility unsurpassed in my experiences.  My first couch surfers were a young couple from Conneticut, whom I affectionately dubbed Dreds and Tats.  She had a head of dreds that those whom love dreds would die to have, and his body was like a canvas of tatoos representative of meaningful images in marking transistions and special moments in his life - and what a cool couple.

Kelly and Erik were an incredible people, and made my first couch surfing experience a wonderful one, one which made for a week which passed easily and quickly.  They were a really laid back, intelligent, globally-aware couple, and I know that they will go places in the world and make a difference wherever they land.  They slept up in the rancho where Kevin and Jeremy used to live, and were visited regularly each night in the wee hours by Rita - and loved it.  I believe that tolerance of a visiting Margay is a pre-requisite for staying in the rancho since there is no real door to shut off the front.  She is a social creature, albeit a bit on the rough side!  Erik Linderbeck designed and built an arbor over the Ojos de Agua and the small stream that runs off from it, to hold up my burgeouning mandevilla, and in doing so made a lasting contribution to Loma Partida, which I think is way shades of cool.

Happy Birthday to you too Boo (Brittany).  You are the love of my life... I cannot wait to spend the rest of your birthdays with you.. Hope all your birthday wishes come true.

Eagles In A Storm 
 

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, the eagle sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

 The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us-and all of us will experience them-we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.

 God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure, and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

The very storms through which the believer passes,
will only strengthen him to take a firmer hold of Christ.
As the same wind that blows down the poplar tree, only
establishes the oak tree; so the very storms which
uproot the shallow professor, only root the child of
God more firmly in Christ.

Though these storms may shake off some of his
leaves, or break off some of the rotten boughs, they
do not uproot his faith-but rather strengthen it.

It is in these storms that he learns . . .
      more of his own weakness, and of Christ's strength;
      more of his own misery, and of Christ's mercy;
      more of his own sinfulness, and of superior bounding grace;
      more of his own poverty, and of Christ's riches;
      more of his own desert of hell, and of his own title to heaven.

It is in these storms that the same blessed Spirit who
began the work carries it on; and goes on to engrave
the image of Christ in deeper characters upon his heart;
and to teach him more and more experimentally-the
truth as it is in Jesus

I always find it useful to read some form of feedback after such a challenge, even though there are no "winners" or prizes (do you think The Telegraph Group is made of money?)

I'm assembling same at the moment, but thought tightening up the time-period would make the challenge easier to report on by me, and would make submitted poems fresher in people's memories now that tracing older blogs is so time-consuming.

So fortnightly is the new time-span, and midnight BST Sunday 31st. is the new deadline.

Y'know, everyone always talks about how cool it is when the Blue Angels fly under the Golden Gate Bridge during the US Navy's Fleet Week in the city. but to be honest, I actually much prefer the sights during Imperial Fleet Week. The Death Star gently looming in the sunset sky, providing an incredible backdrop for the mountains on the other side of the Bay. AT-ATs sumping along the beach near the marina. And of course, you can't beat an Imperial-class Star Destroyer flying over the Golden Gate. Ah, summer.

So it's not up to par, *pouts* when the paper stopped responding like I wanted to, I just sorta quit so it's not as finished as it should be.
